Small Fumed/Raku Vessel

Ferric chloride fuming is an alternative firing technique where metal salts are resisted with tape and leaves then heated to release vapors and stain the clay. This piece is then fired a third time to achieve the glossy crackle finish.

Due to the nature of the firing, this vessel is not water tight and should be used for decorative purposes only.
