About Me

As a ceramic artist, my work is rooted in the belief that functional objects can – and should – be beautiful, expressive, and timeless. I studied ceramics at the New Hampshire Institute of Art, where I developed a strong foundation in both traditional and experimental ceramic practices. That education continues to guide my artistic process as I explore the endless possibilities of clay, form, and fire.

My current exploration centers on creating functional wares – kitchen vessels, dinnerware, and everyday objects – that invite touch and use. I am drawn to the intersection of utility and aesthetics, aiming to craft pieces that feel as satisfying in the hand as they appear on display. I pursue bold, beautiful designs that possess a quiet elegance and understated sophistication – pieces that elevate daily rituals and become part of someone’s lived experience.

My aesthetic is deeply influenced by the raw elements of the natural world. I work with a grounded palette inspired by earth and fire – the way copper can flash red or green depending on the atmosphere, the bold blues born from cobalt, and the rich, warm browns created by iron. These materials offer a spectrum of color that feels organic, rustic, and intrinsically tied to the earth itself. Through them, I aim to create surfaces that echo the unpredictability of nature – colors that shift, deepen, or reveal themselves with time and light.

Ultimately, I aim to make ceramics that endure. My goal is to create work that feels timeless in both design and craftsmanship – objects appreciated for their beauty as much as for their function, bringing a sense of natural elegance and intention to everyday life.
