Small Fumed & Raku Vessel

Ferric chloride and copper wire fuming is an alternative firing technique where metal salts and wrapped copper are heated to release vapors that stain the bare clay surface with warm rusts, golds, and smoky blushes. This piece is then fired a third time to achieve the glossy crackle and shifting the rust and gold color to flashes of green and red.

Due to the nature of the firing, this vessel is not water tight and should be used for decorative purposes only.
